Over My Head

This week at I Heart Faces the theme is "Over My Head". I wasn't sure I was going to enter this week, but as usual the theme got me thinking. Today we went to the zoo. A new exhibit there allows you to feed birds with seed on a stick. The kids loved it and I did to. The birds are just beautiful. My daughter was amazed when these stopped buy her stick for a bite to eat.

Pet's Week

The category at I Heart Faces this week is pets. My children went to spend a week at their Granny and Papa's house just a few weeks ago. The second day they told me of a litter of kittens that were, "sooo cute". (You must say that with a high pitch in your voice.LOL) The next day they told me the mama cat had moved all the kitten except this one. The next day was the same story. "Mama, can we please bring her home?" Not what I bargained for. No, was my answer. You see we have one big, fat lazy cat that sheds and really isn't a cuddly kind of cat. I didn't want another one. However, we couldn't just leave her there. The kids had to run for the car with her chasing them just to get away. She was hungry and scared. Mama cat didn't come back the next day, so we decided they could bring her home the next day. Granny got a bottle and some kitten formula. Who know they made such stuff. When I saw her for the first time, I was in love, as was my hubby. She was so tiny; only about 5 weeks. She is now about 8 weeks old and fully weaned. She is a playful sweet kitten. My daughter named her Faith. (Her sisters were Hope and Love). Today she went on a ride with us and was a bit thirsty on the way home. She started chewing on the straw in the Sonic cup in the trash. She knows where the good stuff is. LOL I couldn't resist posting this one.

Smiles

The category this week at I Heart Faces, is Smiles. I had lots of smiles I could have used, but this one seemed too cute to pass up. This was taken at Easter. My son decided he wanted to look like his daddy, so we went and bought him a suit. Daddy supplied the sunglasses. They walked the halls of church looking just this way. Tyler was proud to look like his dad. You can tell by that little grin (smile) on his face. It was too hard to be serious. Momma loves those dimples. LOL
