RA Rain Gutter Regalia
On Wednesday nights, my son takes part in the Royal Ambassadors at our church. Last night they had their first ever Rain Gutter Regalia, which is a boat race. We have done cars and line gliders, but this was something new. It was a great physics lesson for some because their boats would not even stand up in the water. It was quite comical at times. The boys had fun and the dads learned valuable lessons about boat making. So, what happened was 2 rain gutters were filled with water. This was the race track. Two boats would then race from one end of the gutter to the other powered by wind. In other words the boys blew with all their mights. We were afraid some would pass out trying to get their boats to move just a few inches. Red faces were everywhere. LOL We didn't find out the winners yet, but we will know next week. Tyler's boat was very unique and did quite well. He enjoyed making it. It was a family project, but he sanded and painted it. Then he put the decorations on it and clear coated it. We are proud of our little speed boat boy.
Everyone was excited about Tyler's boat since is was different from all the rest.
Mom had to experiment with some silohette photos of her boy and his boat. I am learning.
